Editorial Review for Southampton Inn – by Gayot.com
The Scene
When it comes to recreation, this five-and-a-half-acre campus has it all. It is home to the Southampton Pool and Tennis Club, and activities include everything from volleyball to kayaking to table games. There's even a toy room for the kids. As for regional pursuits, the most popular is day tripping to wineries and farm stands. The town is rife with "old money" and has cute shops, a bookstore, a movie theater and a Saks Fifth Avenue.
The Details
From a distance, the inn looks like a giant Colonial. Upon closer inspection you will see that this isn't your typical Hamptons' mansion. The decor both in the public areas and downstairs is more California than East Coast--it's polished and new, with pale-colored furniture and gas fireplaces. The library is nondescript yet comfortable. A 2,200-square-foot ballroom makes this a nice venue for corporate gatherings and special events.

They saved our vacation from the horrible Village Latch Inn rite next door. My wife and I where very happy with the hotel. It was a great place to stay and great prices considering it is the Hamptons. They are also located in a great place a short walk from all the fun. They even provide pick up from the beach and back to the hotel.
