Editorial Review for Huntting Inn – by Gayot.com

The Scene
A magnificent elm tree shades the lawn of this 300-year-old inn. It is named after its original 18th-century owner, and its quaint air is emphasized with a white picket fence and a nicely tended garden. Guests can enjoy dinner at the Palm Restaurant, located on the hotel grounds.

The Details
The inn is a well-kept white house with rows of neat black shutters. The interior conveys a country rather than beachside vibe. Provencal French armchairs, pretty floral quilts and matching wallpaper create a feminine, but not too frilly, setting. Despite the lures of the high season, autumn is probably the best time of year to come. Subtract the crowds and add fun, wacky activities like lantern tours and pumpkin picking.

5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

If you want to get away from it all and visit East Hampton, I would recommend this Hotel. It also houses on of East Hamptons best restaurants and I would even say for me The Palm is the best restaurant not only in East Hampton but in the entire Hamptons. They also have several restaurants in NYC. If the Palm chose this location, you can only imagine that the Hotel must be great too. Although I have never stayed there it is known as one of the nicest places to stay in the Town of East Hampton. I would recommend it. The hotel looks like a country estate with beautiful flowers and a lovely garden in the back with a walkway. A great place to relax and take away all the stress. You don't have to drive once you get there. You can even give the keys to their valet and walk everywhere in town. This is also the center of things during the Hamptons Film Festival and a great place to stay.
