The Setting
It's hard not to like this Long Island Sound retreat, with public beach access to this placid arm of the Atlantic often at a premium along the much sought-after coast. With a boardwalk--the only one for miles around--and a nature center to interpret the seashore, this two-mile long beach off Interstate 95 makes an easy camping trip.
The Facility
At the William F. Miller Campground, visitors will find open campsites; available are a concession, dumping station, bathrooms and showers. Individual grills are not provided; use your own cook stoves. The campground is open May 18 through October 31. Pets are not allowed at the site.
