Editorial Review for Royal Atlantic Beach Resort – by Gayot.com
The Scene
Renovations have turned this resort into a cross between a motel and updated, spacious condominiums. It is housed in three buildings and is easily accessible to the beach. Dining includes both on-site and nearby restaurants and coffee shops.
The Details
The exterior still has the look of a throwback 1970s motel, but the building takes advantage of its setting with balconies overlooking the vast shoreline. The rooms and suites include three-bedroom, two-bath Captain's Quarters. Decor is unremarkable, with plain oak furniture, wall-to-wall carpet and side-by-side double beds. In contrast, the 12 two-level condominiums have soaring cathedral ceilings, hardwood floors, large-screen televisions and state-of-the-art kitchens. Additional condo amenities include Jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces and queen-sized pull-out sofas. You even get complimentary breakfast. There is an outdoor swimming pool on the premises.

You'll have very nice time here. The price is a little high. But compared too it's neighbors, it's worth it!!!! . From a beach view , it is one of the best on the east coast
Pros: Everthing
Cons: Could use some upgrades

I recently stayed at the Royal Atlantic for 4 nights with my husband and 2 kids. We had a great time. The location of this hotel is right on the beach. Our room had a beach view with a balcony right in the pool area. The pool area has tables, lounge chairs and a snack bar that serves drinks. You can walk right down to the beach from there. It was great. The rate included breakfast which was a great way to start the day. The service was good considering it's peak season and there were lots of people there. I think they were full. There was one afternoon that was overcast and we took the kids to the small arcade room by the front desk. That was a nice plus! I think we only had to use our car once during our stay because we wanted to see the Montauk lighthouse and also go to the harbor (not much there unless you are into boats). We were able to walk to restaurants, shops and anything else we needed right from the hotel. The only negative thing I can think of is that a hairdryer was not provided in the room. Yes, the rooms aren't 5 star but that would be hard to expect with such close proximity to the beach. The room was clean and comfortable and we really didn't spend much time in the room anyway! We really enjoyed our little vacation and plan on coming back next year!
Pros: LOCATION CAN NOT BE BEAT!
Cons: No hairdryer in room
